The omega since I saw goldeneye as a kid, and the rolex because my uncle had one when I was a kid. I just turned 30, so I feel that im old enough for the rolex now. In my 20s I figured that people would think it was fake :/

I hear ya. I'm 31, and I've always wanted a Rolex Submariner since I was a kid, ever since I saw Sean Connery wearing one in one of the old Bond movies. (Goldfinger, I believe) My father and grandfather both had Day-Date President Rolex, and I knew since I was pretty young that someday I'd have to have one. Originally, I went into the AD to get a sub with date, and they didn't have one. They had a sub no date, but they had just gotten in the new Blue/Black GMT Master II the day before I came in the store. I wound up buying it because I liked the idea of the GMT function when traveling, and the blue/black bezel looks so amazing in daylight, yet so subtle indoors.

My list of watches to acquire goes like this: Rolex Deepsea SeaDweller, Patek Aquanaut, AP Royal Oak with Panda Dial, and eventually a Rolex Daytona. Do you have a list of watches you plan on buying some day?

Connery with that submariner and nylon strap FTW!.

Im shooting for a Bell and ross for myself for Christmas, panerai pam000 base by end of 2015, and eventually a rolex skydweller. Gotta get these pieces before I have kids...otherwise the gf/wife will have some objection over spending 25k on a watch.

The skydweller is an absolute gorgeous watch. I really like the white one, as I think the yellow is a bit too much out there. Great choice going with the black/blue GMT II, it is not limited but still harder to find on the market these days. As far as buying a rolex in your 20s... I really dont care what other people may think if they see them on my wrist. The watches are for me, period. People that know me, know that they are real pieces. As far as strangers go, oh well.

That sub and Daytona are beautiful. Is that an aftermarket dial on the sub or did rolex actually make one with diamonds? Never seen that before.

Nope. It's the factory bezel. Both were brand new. They come with either the glow in the dark hour markers or diamonds. When I brought them home from the jewelry store I wondered why the Daytona bezel looked so cloudy. Then I realized there was tape on the bezel. I've always wanted a Rolex. The plan was to get the Submariner and that was it. But when I saw that Daytona I could not resist.
