Two Hard Inquiries in a month by NACM for refinancing?

Postby ckkiw8 » Sat Jul 07, 2012 3:00 pm

We just refinanced our mortgage and I noticed that both my husband and I had a hard inquiry in June and then again in July from NACM for the refinance, which closed just this past Thursday. Is that normal for them to do it twice for the same thing?

Yes, from what I've seen companies well pull your credit once for preapproval and again going into closing. They do this to make sure that you're not charging up a whole bunch of debt before they extend you a loan of that magnitude.

Thank you for the reply. I'm ok with it if that's how it is normally- doesn't mean I like it, but am ok with it.
