GM Card (Now Cap 1) Can Kiss my.........

Postby Dylan1982 » Fri Jun 29, 2012 8:38 pm

I need a little rant here...

Brief history with The GM Card. I've been a LOYAL customer now of a DECADE (10 yrs), I've NEVER made a late payment, NEVER went over my CL and I make double payments a month and pay MORE than the minium amount....

Here's why I am fed up with them...

1) For years ever since 10/2008 I've been trying to lower my APR back down to where it used to be ~5.xx%. In 10/2008 bc the economy took a **** they just decided to raise my APR to 12.49%. I've tried and tried and tried to get them to lower my APR, talking to Acct Managers and so forth and they WILL NOT budge.

2) Today (6/29/2012) I decided to get around to asking for my CLI. I've never asked for an increased since owning the card 7/2002. I by passed the CSR and asked to speak with an Acct Manager. I just basiaclly told him if at all possible I want to update my financial info as I am making significantly more money back when I first applied for the GM Card in 7/2002.

I told him have been a loyal customer for a DECADE, never made a late payment in the 10 yrs of having the card, I make more than the minium payment. blah blah blah.

So I fianlly said yes let's go for a credit limit increase..... He comes back.... DENIED!!!! WTF are you serious??? That same day, I had gotten approved with CitiBank for 2 card at 4,600 CL each..

I am SOOOOO DONE with GM Card!!!

I've heard a lot of negative things about capital one, and most people that I have talked to say, that once their Credit is in better standing, they tend to leave capital one and go for a better card. I've never had one, so I cannot say, but that is what I have heard.

Yeah, my Capital One card is my only <$1000 limit, and they refuse to budge. I hate talking to their CS as well. I've completely stopped using their card.

Their CSR's are a joke.. They have broken a$$ english and I just cannot understand them for the life of me. I usually always bypass them and ask to talk to their acct manager
