Had a car accident

Postby InCreditWeTrust » Wed May 23, 2012 8:18 pm

Had a car accident earlier today, my car is in the bodyshop for a few weeks for repair, insurance will cover the damage. Thankfully I am mostly okay, though I do have whiplash and a headache. It is my first car accident as the driver. Just posting as a reminder to you all to be careful when driving because life can change on the road in seconds.

I also wanted to share a car accident video I just watched.

Stay safe

its good that your ok.

I have had the worst luck, had 2 accidents in a span of like 3 months. Made me extra nervous to drive which really sucks when you have to commute 40+ miles to get to school everyday.

Glad you're OK. Keep an eye on yourself, if you're not feeling well get to a doc stat. Some problems can take a while to surface.

Dang man, glad to hear you're alright for the most part.

and I've seen that video before- that SUV just looks like a little toy as it falls apart- it's situations like this too that make me not take life for granted, which I often do.

Kinda unrelated, but I had severe nosebleeds the beginning of last month, and would not quit for over two+ weeks. Had to get my nose cauterized, and although it's a small procedure (and not so big of an issue in my case, all better now), money didn't matter, going out every night for a nice dinner didn't matter- I just wanted to get better so I was able to do those things again (I would have 2 bloody noses a day, even at dinner!). Luckily all is well now and I don't have anemia or any other underlying larger issue, but I now feel moreso for those who have bleeding issues in general.

Back to driving- I've never been in a severe accident at this point. With all the vehicles and people in this world, I feel like it's bound to happen sometime though.

Please stay safe y'all!

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad to hear you are ok!

How is your blood pressure? Sometimes undiagnosed hypertension can be responsible for frequent nosebleeds. It happens more and more in younger people (not sure how old you are), but at 26 years old I have high blood pressure myself and used to get random nose bleeds before I treated it. Also I work in a hospital emergency room and see it all the time. Might be worth monitoring.
