Priority Pass with American Express Centurion membership

Postby FastSRT8 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 2:06 am

Just got my Priority Pass card today as part of the Centurion Benefit. Really don't know why they even send that out. It's one more card to carry. Really a waste. They should just agree with the lounges to let black card holders gain access without the need for other pieces of plastic. Really makes it hard to keep the wallet thin. :(

well.. some lounges do accept just the black card; american airlines, us aiways, and delta... i have never used their priority pass. however since my secondary card is from singapore, they have printed hong kong on the priority pass. i wonder if that pass lets me use the united lounge. i know a buddy in germany who also has a priority pass issued from his platinum mastercard, united let him into their lounge.

That's a good point. I remember 2 weeks ago I was travelling Air Canada and didn't have my AC card so I just flashed my black amex and was waved on in. They didn't even swipe my card thru the reader to check if it was active like they did with my Platinum card.

They imagined it to be a United Global Services card. Both are Star members.

I walked into Lufthansa lounge this morning with my Centurion rather than GS card.

Hmmmm sounds like a quick flash (card flash that is) usually will do the trick!
