Stranded

Postby TXviking » Wed Jun 07, 2017 8:12 am

So we've had some massive rains in Florida these past few days. I'm actually stranded at a friend's house right now because the water is so deep my BMW can't make it out without the risk of hydrolocking the engine.

I called AAA and asked for them to tow me out, but they refused, saying I have to wait for the water to recede. Sigh.

That's a bummer. Hope you get out soon!

Is your car in the water or would you have to drive through deep water to get to where you want to go?

The latter. I did wind up getting towed out by BMW Roadside Assistance – and thankfully I didn't try to drive through it, because the local BMW dealership had plenty of hydrolocked engines to fix.
