Chase Private Client

Postby TXviking » Wed May 17, 2017 2:38 am

Just logged into my Chase online banking and saw this:

I'm pretty sure I don't qualify for Private Client; I don't have anywhere near $250K stashed away with Chase. Is this offer just a bug in their interface, or are the requirements changing?

Maybe a bug...not likely a change in requirements. I think it's really just an ad for CPC. I think the minimum to get in the door is $100k if you say you will bring over more.

I expect it means:

"Bring $250k over to us and then we'll give you special treatment."

and not:

"You're already eligible for special treatment. Just accept the invite and that's all you need to do."

Their system is buggy, though. I'm JPM Private Client in their records despite having $0 in assets with them. My guess is that the confusion is from an old now-closed non-toy Bear Stearns account.

I call the number of the back of CSP and the front line reps say they can't talk to me, but need to direct my calls to the Executive Team or whatever it's called. I don't spend on Chase cards a whole lot (but try take my IHG card away and I'll bite you) but when I called to report a totally fraudulent card-not-present transaction last it was an annoying delay for something well within the grasp of the CSP team.

It began when I closed my checking and savings accounts with them. I take my $10k or whatever away and suddenly they want to treat me like royalty.

I get them constantly at this point. I also don't have 250K at Chase.

I think it's more like...maybe this person has 250K somewhere else and we can get it brought over here??

I don't think I've seen that yet when I've signed in, but I'll be watching for it now. Or maybe I've developed ad blindness.
