Samsung Pay

Postby PhillyPhoto » Wed Feb 15, 2017 8:54 am

I have a S6 currently, and one thing I love about having my Amex cards loaded in it, is that I get an immediate notification anytime they're charged physically or through "card not present" transactions. I also have my Chase card loaded, and never get the notifications (just the emails from Chase for CNP purchases). I wish the other issuers would implement this option in this and Android Pay. When I first saw it doing this, it was fun to be sitting in a restaurant and see almost the second they swiped my card. I don't know how much it will matter in the future though, because I'm looking to get away from Samsung phones if the S8 doesn't blow the Pixel out of the water.
Main Cards:
Amex: Ameriprise Plat, Surpass
Chase: Hyatt

Sock drawer Cards:
Amex: HHonors
Chase: Amazon Rewards, Freedom
Citi: Macy's Amex, Simplicity, ThankYou
Citizens Bank: Cash Back Plus World
Discover: it
Elan: Bank Rewards
Synchrony: PayPal

What would be even more fun is if America was with the times and didn't allow card swiping anymore.

Just curious, do you carry your physical cards also? Has the success rate of using samsung pay been high? I haven't used a phone/wallet pay yet although I've recently loaded some cards into an iphone.

I actually use physical cards almost exclusively. I just haven't gotten myself in to the habit of using Samsung/Android Pay. Whenever I have used SP though, it's worked every time.

I figured I'd throw my 2 cents into the hat. Having worked in fast-food for the last 9 years; I can count on one hand how many times I've seen someone using any type of wallet. I can also say that the one time I did use SP, it worked flawlessly.
