Doesn't matter whether your advice is actually objectively correct or not. If you aren't being "supportive", you get hit with a ban hammer. There are people on there who REALLY need to stop applying for cards but no one will tell them that because they'll get banned.

I used to post a lot more there than I do. Got tired of the nonstop moderation and incessant posts from the same people.

I'm just as much a credit fan as anyone else but some of the posts on there truly make you want to say "who cares?". Obsessing about when your new BOA card is going to first report, when will it appear in your online profile, etc, etc...it's just not that important when you already have dozens of cards reporting.

I've just been not replying much on there in lieu of stating my opinion and getting banned (again). With myfico if you don't want to be banned keep your answers short and devoid of opinion.

Being approved for a card feels nice because, in the end, you can breathe a sigh of relief that you didn't completely waste a hard pull.

But if you're chanting about getting approved for a crappy Capital One card, who is a mediocre lender in my opinion, with a $300 limit and a 25.24% APR, I don't see why you'd want to tell the entire internet of your "success" or really lack-there-of.

I guess all wasn't a waste of time, though. There were a few members who pointed out how to join Navy Fed which I greatly appreciate.

It's all relative. $300 may be a lot for a rebuilder. You scoff at their CLs. I could scoff at yours. Several people here could scoff at mine.

I'm the last person to knock anyone for getting a rebuilding credit card, but there's no need to tell the world about being approved for a piece of plastic.

That's generally true of any credit card whether it's $500 or $50000 CL.

I suppose if it's your first, or your first big approval, that I could see. But there's no reason to chime in about every little card. Especially for those folks that have 20+ accounts already. We get it!
