Not owning a fax machine, I took care of it on a visit to CentSFO.

Could they not take an email? Not that it isn't a good excuse to use a lounge, but I'd think requiring a fax might be an issue for a lot of people.

Email was not an option.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG, Prestige (retention)
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH, Aviator Red

Should I be able to see my checking account info from the same login I use for Prestige and AA Platinum? I got a debit card and PIN in the mail, but haven't seen the account online yet.

You may have to manually link the accounts. If the issue persists further, you may have to have a customer service rep do it for you.
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It

The thing I didn't understand is that while it's possible to link a credit card to an existing checking account login, it's impossible to link a checking account to an existing credit card login.

I called customer service and the phone CSR really screwed up my login and account access. I went into a branch and a much better CSR spent about 20 minutes undoing what the phone CSR did.

I do now have access (after creating a new "full banking" ID), and re-initiated a transfer. I still plan to close the account after I get the $400.

Do you plan on downgrading to a regular checking account after meeting the offer requirement of keeping $15,000 in the account for 30 calendar days?
Current cards: BankAmericard CR, BankAmericard BBR, Citi Double Cash, Chase Freedom, AmEx BCE, Discover It

No, I'll probably close it entirely. I have enough checking accounts (Chase and Schwab).

But maybe I'll be back when Citi runs another promo. :ppp

The problem is that you're not going to be getting your $400 for maybe 3 months after you meet the offer requirements, so you're not going to be able to close your account until then if you want the bonus.

You could stick with the Checking Account Package, but you'll need to have $10000 in deposits in order to avoid the monthly maintenance fees. For a regular checking account, I believe it's just $1500.

Oh, I see what you're getting at. I'll keep the Citibank Account Package for like 4 months, and I'll be over the $10k at all times.

I meant I'll close it after I get the bonus in about 4 months. I just don't plan to keep the account open for years and years.

Of course, that's obvious ;)

Once I meet the offer requirements, I'll consider downgrading the account if that's allowed. Don't want to have to keep any more money than I have to with Citi. Either way, I will be closing the account once I get the $400.
