They do love a good underdog (deadbeat "redemption") story..

Haha, like the recent "monoglot" who at 18 years old, claims to have gotten approved for an AARP and a Freedom, at I believe 15k each. And makes a huge income as an accountant.

I mean seriously - are people that stupid to believe this crap? Unless he is including household income in his apps, but even then, those approvals seem very large for an 18 year old with barely 5 months of credit history.

99% positive those are AU cards.

In other news, this is a hilarious thread. http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit- ... -p/4339126

Monoglot's "new approvals" have to be AU cards. There's simply no way he got approved with those limits on his own after such limited history. But it's like...just freakin be upfront and admit it instead of trying to show off.

That thread is ridiculous. Nobody seems to point out that with a 25k income, it is difficult or impossible to justify a CSP. That should be the real message, not "thanks for the data point"....again, aren't these "data points" common sense?

Of course he's going to defend the guy bringing in site views. Lol.

Gdale is an automaton. Grumpy fuck as he may have been, MarineVietVet at least didn't simply hide behind the legalese.

We could start a giant stream of threads about Centurion approvals. See how many people follow suit and post about their new shiny approvals.

Some of the stuff written on there is literally the dumbest stuff I have ever read. People are moaning about AA, and one community leader suggests "the lender should call you so you can fight the closure!"... umm, it's a business decision and the bank has the full right to do it. They aren't going to call you ahead of time and let you talk them out of it. I mean seriously? The coddling when AA happens is ridiculous. People need to be told straight up: stop opening accounts every month and maybe Barclay's won't get "jealous" (I hate that meme too).
