Ugh. Paypal MC "upgrades" are being treated as accomplishments, not AAOA - killing garbage.

I wish I would have known that "upgrading" my Walmart account to a MC would stick me with a new account. They sent the cards in the mail and I activated them, not even considering that it wouldn't be treated as the same account.

I'd like to PC my Slate to the Fredom Umlimited. Would that be a new account?

No. It should not be. Confirm everything with the rep of course, but my Chase PC had no change of any kind to the way the account was reporting.

I think I read (but haven't bothered to investigate whether it's true) that Freedom Unlimited required a $5k CL.

I've heard that too but really don't know.

I applied for the FU in branch today.

7-10, But not a flat denial. Banker in branch says to call them if they decline to see if they can push through an approval.

What a joke. Finstar and a few select others never get so much as a slap on the wrist for the same. And what about that Joeyzoom idiot? They get away with calling people "miserable bastards" because they don't agree that x bank is horrible and will go out of business because they won't give them a 1m CL at 0% for life.

They definitely pick and choose who gets in trouble, that's for sure. It's stupid.

I have to do something irrational to get back on the board, I think this time I'll be more than happy to let them know which orifice they can jam it up.

I'm looking more at Personal Finance boards than credit anymore. Bogleheads and Morningstar are two examples. Since I'll only really have 2 credit cards, there won't be much in the way to read up on.
Everyday use: Capital One QuicksilverOne

You might have too many accounts...

...when you can't decipher credit report abbreviations for your own cards.
