Not referring to this site, but you look up something on Google, and click an interesting link. As SOON as you get there, you are forced to sit through a stupid video ad 30 seconds in length. (Best to mute your speakers because they will BLAST the audio at ear splitting levels that will make any thrash band proud).
After enduring this idiocy (I typically go to another browser and do something there for a while and come back later) you think ok I finally get to see the content. You go to scroll to read and guess what - ANOTHER popup ad. You endure that nonsense, scroll some more, and then an ad pops INTO the content. So you scroll down to get past that, then when the ad concludes the whole page scrolls back up again as it leaves and you have to scroll up.
Anywhere you click may well do another redirect or another ad. Even hovering the mouse over text on the content may pop up ad boxes. And the ad boxes they have all over the page already are filled with items you have been browsing so you know the dirtbags have been snooping into your browsing history.
It's enough to drive you flipping nuts. This is no exaggeration at all I have been to sites that do all of this. All they really are, is one big ad server with a little content to try to lure you in. It's worse than TV and I didn't think that was possible. A TV equivalent would be an hour show with 59 minutes of ads.
