Costco Kirkland Liquor

Postby darkguy2 » Fri Jul 03, 2015 12:17 pm

Anyone here buy Kirkland branded liquor? I was thinking about taking a trip out of state to go buy some since we have ABC stores in my state. I know that both the American and French Kirkland Vodka are supposed to be good. but what others should I pick up?

It's not liquor, but I'm a big fan of the Sonoma County chardonnay ($7) and their cheap malbec ($7). That chardonnay is consistently good, and I think is a great value. The malbec can be very good, but seems more variable in quality.

Not a big fan of wine, but I can get that at my local Costco. For the price I might go pick it up to try it out. If I do not like it I can give it to my roommate who loves wine.

Another thing to try - and they only have it rarely - is pinot noir from Willamette Valley Vineyards ($13).

You can get it easily online or at other stores, but only for a much higher price ($25-$40). If you're not a big wine fan (let alone a pinot fan), I wouldn't suggest paying the higher price.

But if you do see a bottle for $13, you might try it.

*Dr. L is also good - a sweet German riesling. It's about $11 but you can get it in other stores for a similar price. It's not quite as good a bargain as the other bottles I've mentioned and might be too sweet for your taste.

Had a great Costco trio for dinner tonight - thick prime ribeye, malbec, and their vanilla ice cream.

...the kind of dinner that'll make you fall asleep instantly. At least for me anyways. Sounds good though

The ice cream and wine were in moderation. The steak wasn't, but it's not a regular thing, and I'll extend my :lift: a little.

Had some more healthy veggies, too.
