Haha. That's funny. Shapiro isn't running, I just hope he does next term. But I was looking into Gary Johnson, that guy makes rational sense. I will probably vote for him. I agree with a lot of what he has to say.

Trump is pretty eager to destroy everything the Democrats built...although maybe he'll change his mind and want to screw bankers over, too, in revenge for his BKs.

Democrats? Built?

Oh yeah. Thanks for generational welfare, protection of the unfittest, and brainwashed youth who couldn't care less about the constitution as long as their frappucino is ready NOW.

The last decent democrat was FDR.

In the last post I meant more recent stuff...like health insurance (which has problems, but I still consider a net improvement) and the CFPB. I should have been more specific. I didn't intend to make a very broad statement.

As far as the problems you mention, though, Democrats have had a big role, but so have Republicans. It was GW Bush who led the push for Medicare part D. That's the biggest generational welfare program we've had in ages.

Or do you mean that young people are getting the welfare? There's a lot more welfare for old people.

The problem with current Republicans is that instead of trying to be likable to more people, they keep preaching to the choir whom is already beholden to them.

For me it's quite simple. I have a set of ideals that I personally care for and similarly have complaints about how this country has been run over time.

If a democrat were to step up and tackle real issues (not feel good sissy crap) instead of picking on **legal** guns and squeezing the last bit of life out of the middle class I could see myself getting behind them.

When Trump was talking about trade, I thought he was doing well. But when it came to the birther, anti-terror, and tax return stuff, I thought he really looked bad. Clinton seemed to handle her baggage better.
