You state your opinions and keep on pushing your view point and people get it after the first time, but then continue to push and push. Say something once and then move on is my advise to you.. And no Popamode I am not Nixon, but a regular on MyFico. Just a person that thinks Nixon has alot to offer the MyFico community.

I was making a joke there. No harsh feelings though I was kinda suspicious initially because you made an account mainly to comment here and only had 1 post. Welcome to CCF!

It would be helpful to have some idea of what your MF handle is though or if I even know you from that place.

And for the record, kdm was suspended months ago for a bit and hasn't gotten into that sort of trouble since. I also don't recall kdm trying to do anything that would go against terms of service. The whole opinion thing is another matter and I've seen other people there get crap because they wanted to say something and they had a whole mob of people try to fight back and it always ended up being a mess. I've seen it time and time again with other people there. Even coming in and just saying that you disagree with something is enough to set off something for the most part and that's why I've tried my best to keep out of commenting on some of the more controversial topics that pop up.

Basically with some of the drama, it all boils down to person X has a different opinion on something that and that gives a whole group the right to dogpile on someone for trying to express their opinion on these matters. Doesn't that seem like an uneven playing field to you?

Lol....

Joke or not, it was a pretty rude assumption to make. I don't have time to play child games like make shadow accounts just to compliment myself.

In any case. Life goes on. I'll go back to using MyFICO the way I started. Reading and applying what knowledge I find among the sea of SCT posts, congratsbots and grudge holding mods.

Sorry to hear you got banned.

On the plus side, maybe it will give you back a lot of your life you would have otherwise wasted.

I was banned years ago and I have no regrets. I don't want to contribute anything over there. I just read and use what I glean for my own purposes and I have nothing to say or contribute. All that's done is given me back hours of my life.

In any case there is a lot more to life than credit cards.

Honestly, the thing that got my goat the most about this latest ban is the fact that I'd stopped discussing some of the more lucrative forms of credit report manipulation as was requested.

It wasn't enough and apparently they were looking for ANY and I mean ANY BS reason to ban me just based on the prejudice of a handful of moderators alone even though I was being "good". It was in fact stated that they liked how "quiet" it is without me there. (This was confirmed by the one moderator on there that possesses common sense.)

Notice they didn't ban or demote any of the CL's that were actually and willfully discussing a taboo topic. Keep it classy.

Yeah I know. I know how they play favorites. All it takes is a mod to want to ban you and you will be banned. That's how it worked for me. I was banned by posting a story about dealing with Cap One customer "service" (and I use the term loosely there....) - I mentioned he answers in a thick Indian accent I could hardly understand, and the mod said I was being racist. I explained that it wasn't racist it was the truth that's what happened - HE made it racist. Ban hammer for life. Oh well. We all know they will ban you just based on whether they feel like it.

I consider it a blessing. Maybe some time away from the obsession would be a good thing Nixon. Think of the hours of your life being wasted surely a smart guy like you can find better things to do anyway. I sure don't miss posting there. I'm grateful for the time saved in my life that would be otherwise down the toilet.

I find it hard to believe that they are that strict on My fico. I am not a poster over there but unless you were being hateful making racist remarks I could understand. I thought these boards were for trying to help people from our on experiences. I am not sure why Nixon got banned but it really seems like they can be really strict for no reason at all on that site. I will def stay away from commenting over there.
BoA Cash Rewards $13,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred $14,000
BoA Better Balance $12,000
Amex Every Day $24,000

NFCU Platinum Visa $25,200
Barclay Arrival WMC $10,000
Cap One QuickSilver WMC $6,200
WF Cash back Visa Sig $11,000
Citi Thank You Premier $11,600

They are strict if you are an outlier and unconventional in your posting.

I brought my sense of humor there and i'm sure plenty of people appreciated it, but of course you have some old curmudgeons there who can't handle a little change in trends so they watch you like a hawk, waiting for you to breach some arbitrary rule or personal definition of a rule.

That's how i was. Just like here. I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I know not everyone will agree, and I don't care that's their right and their perogative. Let them express their view and I'll express mine and hopefully we all learn something.

They do not like that sort of spirit or attitude over there and find it threatening as far as I can tell. In North Korea they would send you to a re-education camp for this - on MyFICO they just ban you. They warn you but if they can't break you, they ban you. The vast majority of people will be able to post fine there. Those who are free spirits are probably best served to stay away from that. They clearly do not like that. The mods are free to play favorites and to ban as they see fit.

As long as you can stay within their tight parameters, you will be fine. Try to step out of that, and you'll get slapped down. That's how they roll.

I will be the first one to admit that I tend to give off a sense of arrogance to the casual observer, but I do not speak without purpose. I had a decent run.

Looks like that place will go back to the way it was. SCT Sprees, Congratbots and cheerleading with garden-a-thons.

Some things are taken out of context.
