Got the Laptop to finally communicate with the CNC control. Took about 2 1/2 hours to get the handshakes. Baud rate/Bit rates and parody right. But after that chips were flying. 100% made in the USA by me.

I wish I understood more. It does look sweet though.

But, I also kept thinking, can you salvage all those metal shavings? That crap has to add up. Ha

Incolnel 718 is $9 a lb. Any Brass copper Titanium is worth $$$. But it takes allot of shavings to add up. I've worked at shops that produce hundreds of pounds of it a day in 50 gallon barrels. They have to keep it locked. People will break into the yard or your building to steal it. Hell times are so tight right now that people will hook a cable up to their pickup trucks and to the box on the power line. Hit the gas and rip the box off of the line just to get the copper out of it. There's at least $500 in copper they can get at the scrap yard for it. It usually happens at 2 or 3am. And you come in the next morning and you have no power in the building.

That's what kinda had me thinking about it. It looked like a lot in your video.

I knew people go crazy stealing copper. With all the construction in my city, it became a lot more frequent over the years and then I even watched a documentary about it on YouTube where they followed a guy who steals for a living...which was pretty pathetic.

Also came across another video of people filming a guy stealing light poles or street signs for the metal. Feels like a damn third world country here some times.
