That's what I need to know for sure, because that is the key to your upgrades changing or not changing.

If it's the original account - at some point your upgrade dates will probably update. Verizon wouldn't dare dream of letting that slip by them.

If it's the new account - I can say with 99% certainty that your "eligibility" to upgrade will remain in tact.

Another thing you need to watch out for is the evil AOL fee. In my region I believe it was $15 to move a number from one account to another. Be sure to fine tooth comb your bill.. both of them.

Screens shots of the newer account..

My first original account was closed and everything was transferred to my 2nd (newer) account. And for th AOL fee I will have to look at my bills for that..

Yeah. Fine tooth comb your bills for:

- transfer fees
- overages
- double billings (new overlapping old)
- added billable features you did not request

The good news is that your upgrade eligibility will probably remain. I'd give it 2 billing cycles to be sure. If I were you I would NOT ask Verizon about it. Upgrade dates are able to be changed in the system very easily.

I don't plan on calling vzw for a while- I'm just gonna pay those extra fees they're coming up with.. Thanks I will see what happens by April.. If nothing happens to my upgrade I'll most likely upgrade to the next iPhone and sell my current one off! (Depending what changes they make since it I'm assuming a 6s is coming out)

I just kind of skimmed thru this thread, so I don't know if this will help answering your question, but when I first got my iphone 5 it was a renewal and I added another line to my plan. It was thru a VZW authorized shop and not a corporate owned one, but they messed up on my contract and so long story short, even though I upgraded to the iphone 5, my line showed that my original contract ended the day I got my new phone and I still had an upgrade with the "new" contract. Verizon will not take away your upgrade and I don't foresee there being any recourse for you using said upgrades, at least not in my experience. It will say the same thing on their end as it does ours: the contract ended. I used that upgrade to get the iphone 6 when it came out and sold my iphone 5 on gazelle.

One of my original lines had the unlimited plan from wayy back when and when we upgraded that line, we lost the unlimited data/txts, but they had a promo for 2 free gigs too, so that line ended up with 6 gigs (4paid + 2free) but it took a month for the data to reset, so maybe that's why you didn't see it happen right off the bat? Also, just out of curiosity, do you really need 64gigs on your iphone? I always go for the lowest one cause of price lol.

This is my first iPhone, no SD slot so I went up to 64 instead of the 16(?) just in case... I'm assuming that the next iPhone will be the 6s?
