I get that MyFICO is more strict and definitely more wary of sensitive subjects. I tend to skirt the line a lot because sarcasm doesn't come off a screen real good.

If I stay banned, I had it coming.
But not for what happened last, That was a misunderstanding.

I too was banned by the evil 09 on FICO mostly for having the signature "I don't do gardening, bingo, crocheting, shuffleboard or other geriatric activities". That's what I like about CCF... they let you be you. There was one time where I crossed the line and I was warned privately but was told they appreciate my contributions. And I apologized and haven't done it again. No public lynching like 09 and myjourney have been known to do. Even with 1/10 the number of posts as myfico, this forum has 10 times the useful information.
In my Wallet:
  • Amex PRG NPSL[3-14, bd 91]
  • Sallie Mae MC $8000[1-14]
  • Chase Freedom $4700[1-14]
  • Discover It $2750[8-13]
  • BoA UCF Alumni Cash Rewards $5000 [3-15]
Sometimes in my Wallet:
  • GM BuyPower WEMC $5000[9-14]
  • Wells Fargo Propel 365 Amex $7000[4-14]
  • Barclaycard Arrival WEMC $7000[3-14]
  • BoA Better Balance $3000[2-15]
In my sockdrawer: Amex BCE $1000[10-13, bd 91], OCCU Duck $10000 [11-13], The Sportsman's Guide Visa $8000[8-14], Chase Slate $4000 [9-14]Delta Gold Amex $2000 [2-15 bd 91], Diners Club MC $20000 [10-14] Commerce Bank Visa $2000 [3-15] Citi Double Cash $1000 [3-15]
Total CL: $90450

I never knew the full reason why you got banned there but that is a really really stupid reason to get banned from any website just because you disagree with a mantra that they have over there. Geez.

Agreed.

I didn't know JUST how serious gardening is of a subject at MyFICO (Never took the time to read the thread, didn't interest me until my App-o-Rama)

I always rode close to the FSR line because I was being myself and probably cheesed off more than my fair share of people who are just plain too sensitive for this credit game. I got more than a couple warnings for being a "troublemaker" and I guess "inappropriate use of a gardening spade icon" was the last straw.

I feel it was a very SILLY last straw, but I was willing to comply. When I went to comply a little while later, I found out I was already banned and even my IP was banned so I couldn't even read the forum without firing up TOR browser.

It was probably a little more complicated than that, but that got me on her bad side. There were other things (but nothing I've ever been banned for on 20+ years of message boards). There was a girl who, quite frankly needed to stop using credit all together, someone who'd been rebuilding for 5 years and didn't understand basic financial principles (which are IMHO more important than credit) and said what she NEEDED to hear instead of what she WANTED to hear. And then I put myjourney on ignore and it was all over...

I've never seen a message board like myfico. Years ago I trolled on far-right message boards (Ku Kluxers and Neo-Nazis) and they were less Nazi-like than 09 and company.

Wow... inappropriate use of a gardening spade icon? That's the lamest reason to ban someone ever. They are total control freaks over there at FICO. There was a post a while back on FICO where myjourney implied that he monitored ccf and that those who post in both places should watch what they say here. So you can get banned for a post you make in another forum @ myfico.

I thought it was unreasonable as well. If I was to be banned, I expected it to be for something far more egregious.
Especially when I didn't explicitly display a full on refusal to edit my signature.

I talked back to 09L about how I thought the fact that someone was up in arms over a little 40x40 photo (that I shrunk to 16x16 to make it much less noticable) that otherwise had NO weight to it, was completely asinine and petty.

Afterward, It was made clear to me that it was a "forbidden" image if I hadn't earned the right, Once I was done writing a reply and had made a new, edited image to replace the sapphire spade. I click update and get a very curt message in pink border stating I was banned from accessing the site.
