Apple Pay

Postby darkguy2 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 6:12 pm

Well, I decided to go to walk down to Subway today to try out Apple Pay for the first time. I normally do not go there as there are many great options around me, but they were the easiest to get to that should have Apple Pay. So I get some of my other co-workers to come with me and when I get there I am disappointed to see that they have not upgraded their system yet and still rely on the cashier swiping your card for you. They said they have not gotten it installed yet but should in the near future. I thought that all Subways would be upgraded in time, but I guess it is only the major ones.

Anyone been somewhere that has it? Is it as easy as they make it out to be?

Amex BCE - $13,000

Videos all over YouTube of people testing it out.

And, the 2 Subways by me also do not have the new machines. They are franchises. I don't expect them to actually put any effort into running a tight business.

Still haven't been able to try it yet but have put a lot of my cards into Apple Pay's system. Kinda sucks that there's a limit on how many cards you can have stored and also that it wouldn't work with my Barclay Arrival card.

Does any of the Barclay cards work? I could not add my Sallie Mae card either. Did not know there was a limit to the cards you can add.

Doesn't support the Chase SP MasterCard. Don't see myself using it anytime soon since most of my spend is dining.

I've used it at Panera Bread twice so far with my CSP. Pretty smooth and quick.

Visa is supported. MasterCard is not, however all CSP MCs will be switched to Visa fairly soon.
