I did not qualify for T-Mobile's best credit

Postby MemberSince99 » Sat Oct 11, 2014 8:47 pm

The phone I wanted is not available pre-pay or I would have done that. So of course that means taking an inquiry. Apparently for me that was a mistake as my credit did not qualify for their best rate.

I have not checked my TU FICO lately but either "good" credit must be 780 and up these days, or there is something odd going on. My EX FICO according to FNBO is 774. I mean I really don't get it. State Farm and T-Mobile say I don't really have good credit after all.

I guess guys, this is getting to be a waste of time for me. The whole credit saga is just bringing darkness into my life, and I'm about fed up with all of this nonsense. I'm just going to live my life and pay my bills and the number is what it is. I'm done worrying about it.

And unfortunately I'm done posting here. Coming here just reminds me that apparently my credit is shot to hell and I'm the one that did it.

I guess the FICO crew is right never apply for any credit because that destroys your credit. Never have any credit because that destroys your credit. Don't breathe because that destroys your credit.

The hell with it. I really like some of you and always will but I'm really done with the whole credit thing I've had enough of it.

Take care all.

First, yes, that is weird. T-Mobile is not that strict. I used to work for them. They are well known for taking care of the little people and people with bad credit and they are proud of that.

Second, how can a phone not be available for prepaid? You can buy whatever phone you want out of contract and just slap in a SIM card. I am confused?

Memebe99 is pulling the trigger here... -_-

Dude just buy the phone on credit and pay it of later on if you have cards with no APR..

I left Tmobile for Verizon.. and they kept 120 that they don't really care about refunding me.. i have to keep calling some stupid phone number they gave me and beg them for my money back...

Wow. That really stinks. I've learned so much from your posts even to the point where it completely changed how I think about credit and it's really unfortunate that you're not going to be on here anymore and I really wish you didn't have to take this route.

Your posts have always been a great resource about what to do (or, sometimes, what not to do). I'll miss you!

I have learned a lot from you, like how credit works and how to manage well, seeing an alternative of irresponsible use and getting into trouble and etc. I will use those as solid examples to tell myself what should and should not do. And, you brought a lot of fun beyond bringing me more knowledge about credit, really. I can't say if we can see the garden cult thread next month.

I wasn't able to talk about buying home, as I am far away from that. But I will miss you and your contribution.

You guys haven't been around long enough to have lived through a "Member cycle". Every 6 months or so, he gets fed up, swears off credit and this forum, and disappears. Everyone speculates as to if and when he will return. And then he just shows up one day like nothing happened and no one ever talks about it.

Great circle of life and all.

So what was Member's last post prior to him leaving last time?

Is it really so surprising that he didn't get the best rate, though? He has a lot of inquiries. I think his oldest open account was from 5/13. That's only 6 months older than mine, and I usually get the highest APR on cards (or close to it).

I do remember a "I won't be posting nearly as much" thread a few months ago.

Darkness has just entered my life, too. That bulb keeps flickering and there is definitely something wrong with the socket.

Interesting. I mean, getting this pissed off at T-Mobile almost seemed like a sarcastic post. Who gives a rats ass about what T-Mobile thinks about your credit? And, like I said, you can just but whatever phone you want out of contract anyways.
