I've never been a fan of Otterbox cases, for me they are too bulky and interfere with the aesthetic beauty of the iPhone. I use the i-Blason clear case and I think it's great. It provides protection for both sides, it's sleek and slim, and transparent.

I've always had an iPhone since they came out. I love the security, look, and friendliness of use. I have owned all iPhones. Having said that, the iPhone 6 truly disappointed me. It's performance is great, so please don't misunderstand. However the design and body are so delicate if you even look at it wrong it will break. I had to return the first one because every time I pushed the lower left of screen it would make a clicking sound because the screen wasn't seated correctly. Why try so hard to make a phone seem so sleek when in reality it will require an armored case to protect it? Why not just make the damn thing durable in the first place?

Maybe it's just you?
I've had the iPhone since gen 3 and most recently, the 5, 5s and now 6

I find that it's pretty durable.

Though I did have a problem with the screen flashing really weird at odd times and after changing the screen out and the problem still persisting; they swapped it out for a new one.

Which is nice because prior, my friend knocked this phone out of my hand and even with the thin case it was unscathed except a tiny scratch on bottom of the phone, on one of the corners. But it literally dropped onto the floor.

My wife hasn't broken hers by looking at it. Image

It's not a matter of "reality". The decision to use a case or not on any device has always been a subjective matter. It's up to whatever the individual considers a reasonable precaution for the individual's particular needs/wants. Plenty of people don't even bother with a case. The masses want sleek. If you want to use the iPhone and have differing priorities then you'll have to find a solution that works for you.

Yes, my first was the 4s in 2012. Still have it, has always been in an Otter Defender case. Dropped once from 15 feet onto the pavement.
Thought it was done. Still working fine. I keep it as my second line.

Recently upgraded to the 6plus. Love it. Especially the camera. And yes, it's in one of those big bulky ugly Otter Defender cases.

Tried the Samsung Galaxy S4 for a while, and didn't care for it. To many steps to do the same things the iPhone does with less. Spoiled by the iPhone.
