tl;dr - CK thinks Transunion inquiries no longer count after one year, not two.
CreditKarma gave me a pleasant surprise today in the form of a 24-point score jump. Now, we all know not to trust a CK score, but, what is interesting is why the score jumped.
Last week marked the one year anniversary of all of my mortgage inquiries. Today was the first CK update after that anniversary. In the update, CK told me that each of my mortgage inquiries had dropped off my report. That's at the one year mark, not two.
I did notice that the few credit card inquiries that posted to Transunion were dropping earlier than expected, but today really sealed it. When six inquiries (counted as one for scoring purposes, of course) drop right at the same time, you pay attention!
My Vantage Score jumped 21 points as well and my home and auto insurance scores jumped 10 and 12 points, respectively.
