I applied for JustTires credit card (Goodyear credit card) just so I can replace all four tires of my car that needed replacing.

Had the 6 months no APR no payment same as cash. Since during those times I am short on cash but the four tires are screaming "Replace me! Replace me!" - threads are too thin already.

After that paying off that card, it went straight to storage.

It all depends on what your spend your money on. My wife loves Nordstroms so I thought I would have her get their card. It also allowed her to get into their sales earlier, allowed her to rack up the points on 3x-10x reward days. So yes on an average day she'll only save 1%, but some days much much more and with no annual fee. To us, well worth it.
    Credit Cards:
Visa - barclaycardUS White, Nordstrom, 1st Financial Bank
AMEX - PR Gold Card, Blue Sky

I bought a rather pricey 60" LED TV with my Best Buy Card interest free. I just paid off the balance. TWO YEARS EARLY.

Target credit cards and Debit cards offer 5% off every time you use them. Lowe's offers 5% off every time you use them. I would argue that Kohl's is good for the coupons as is Macy's and JC Penney. Again, it depends on where you shop and when it comes to retail cards always, always pay them in full.

Walmart's benefit is that they offer interest free for a set period of time if you spend a certain amount. I forget what it is but kind of useful for electronics or tires/car repairs.

I actually have to say that a Lord & Taylor card makes sense. I understand that it isn't the most expensive store in the world, it's not the least expensive either compared to Saks 5th avenue and Neiman Marcus. But I do agree it's more expensive than places like Kohls.

There are some people in this world who don't make a lot of money and could benefit by having a Lord & Taylor charge card. With our Discover more, Chase Freedom or blue cash we wouldn't get any extra savings. like I said this isn't Bergerdorf goodman and it's not Target. so to get an extra 20% off is a good deal .

When are we going to get reviews of Brooks Brothers, Hugo Boss , Salvatore ferragomo, 7 for all mankind, Gucci?

I would love to see the reviews of these cards.

a friend of mine worked at target. The Target Credit Card is almost always not worth it. Granted, there is no annual fee, theese cards are pushed like crazy. It may seem tempting to take 5% off a purchase especially if you are doing something along the lines of Christmas shopping, but unless you are at Target weekly, 5% is NOT worth it. This is because the interest rate is one of the highest out their.

But BMW remember this, somebody or even you can walk into Target and use your choice of Walmart credit cards, either the Visa version or Discover version. But nobody can walk into Walmart and use the Target card.

Because Target is big they don't want to reward you for using a Target Visa at Walmart or any other retailers. But Target doesn't mind you coming into their store and you using a Chase Freedom, Discover More or an airline card like Citibank's American Airlines card.

I got the Target debit card. Works great with instant 5% off (pre-tax) and requires a PIN to use so I don't have to worry if it gets lost. No sense getting their cc since it only works in one store and on one website.

Enjoyed the chase Disney review. 1 or 2 questions for the gurus, what's the annual fee on the capitol1 Venture blue card when your year is up?

I would say the Chase Disney is for parents who have kids ages 2 and up to 13 who go to Disney every year.

With the Sapphire Preferred you get 2x the points on travel. If a father purchases any kind of gifts in any gift shop in Disney world, does this qualify for travel?

For people who are just going on vacation to do something like going to Epcot, then you're correct the Sapphire and blue venture card are the best.

Also enjoyed the Nordstroms review. There use to be a platinum card, Chase use to have a platinum card, Citi, Washington Mutual and Bank of America use to have platinum cards.

we also use to have travel agents, now we have Travelocity and Expedia. Travel agents need a job, I'm sure everybody knows what happened. We now have signature cards and cards with words like Sapphire, Freedom, Slate, Venture, Zync, Forward

Girl I'm not sure if you are comparing the Nordstroms charge card or Nordstroms Visa to the Blue Cash? If you are comparing the charge to the Blue Cash. I would expect this to be a better card being this is a credit card. If you are comparing to the Blue Cash card, Nordstrom doesn't want to reward you for using their card ouside of their store. Look at what Target did with their Visa. They're not doing anything different than any of the other stores like Macys with the American express, Coldwater Creek Visa, or LL Bean Visa. I have a store in Paramus park mall.

Now as far as rewards go you have a point on the Gold Rewards card, but with the Chase Freedom can you transfer your points to any airline? How about with the Nordstroms visa can you transfer your points to any airline?

With all 3 cards let's say for example you are in Chicago on business and you want to make dining reservations for the weekend, which card allows you this benefit the Gold Rewards card, the Chase Freedom or Nordstroms Visa?
