Thumbs down Best Buy ripping off Amex black card?

    Has anyone else seen this?

Best Buy Premier Black? Give me a break! This is a total knockoff the American Express Centurion aka Black.

It's a damn electronics store credit card, not anything exclusive or impressive.

The picture link you posted is broken?

I noticed a couple major credit cards now calling their cards black. Just like platinum became the new gold, it looks like black is becoming the new platinum!

If Amex was smart they would trademark using the word "black" for anything credit card related these others wouldn't be able to play off their name.

I keep waiting for someone to come out with the Uranium 235 radioactive card. I mean, since all of the other precious stones and metals have already been taken, there isn't much left. lol

American Express created the Gold and Platinum standard and also created the first uber elite card. I'm sure they don't care if people copy them. After all... imatation is supposed to be the highest form of flattery, right?

As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
