Sears Mastercard Credit Limit Increase Not Working?

Where you can talk about store credit cards, like gas station cards, department store cards, etc.

Sears Mastercard Credit Limit Increase Not Working?

Postby Vandalized2 » Thu Oct 17, 2013 2:54 pm

I went to the Sears website to do credit limit increase through the website and it says its not available at this time. Is anyone else running into this problem?

It has been six months since they increased me from 3000 to 4000. And I was going to try for another 1000. I hope it starts working soon, because I talk on the phone all day for my job and dont really feel like taking twenty minutes to deal with there customer service which offer you everything but the kitchen sink in offers that I dont need. They mean well, just dont have the time to deal with it.

The other day I logged on to Sears and ask for a credit limit increase on my two month old account from 3000.00 to 4000.00. When I logged on the next day, I noticed that my CLI is now 8000.00. Who would have thought that Citibank would make an increase greater than the asking. Because of their generosity, I will certainly consider Sears for electronics and home appliances.

If that feature is not working for you on the website, call the number on the back of your card and ask a CSR for a CLI. In my case, even though I did not need an increase, I asked for one because that increase will look good on my credit report.

So i called a CSR finally and asked for a CLI from 4000 to 5000. Instantly approved! very happy!

I had only used the card for about $300 so far this year and they approved me, Thanks Sears! I may use the card now!
