I came across a thread on here that mentioned a GE bank card was a SP for CLI and that reminded me about my chevron card that I have that had been sitting at $600 since I got it in 2010.
So I went onto the card's site and hit the request CLI button, which had not worked for years, and it asked for my income. I put it in and they increased my credit limit to $1200.
Now I am interested in whether this was a good or bad idea since I only use the card every few months to make small purchases and may close it down the line as I add more cards just to keep things simple.
TL;DR: I got a CLI on my chevron card that I almost never use. Are there any downsides to this?
Thanks for any feedback
