Banana Republic store card - hard or soft inquiry! Any idea?

Where you can talk about store credit cards, like gas station cards, department store cards, etc.

I checked my credit report (Equifax) from annualcreditreport.com, but I couldn't see any hard/soft inquiry made by the BR Visa card.

I do not have access to Experian and TU (for FREE, since I requested it a few months ago), if it possible the Inquiry (hard/soft) occurred in either of these two (Experian and TU) credit report, and not in the Equifax?

It is my understanding that GECRB pulls TU so it is likely that your TU will have the inquiry.

Any updates on this card? I actually shop at all 3 of those stores pretty often. Also, how great are the rewards compared to an online mall somewhere else?

I don't shop a whole lot, and I'm not quite sure about the rewards..
About the inquiry, the card caused me a hard pull on my report.

From my understanding, there's a BR "store card" for discounts etc. and if you have good credit, they give you a visa. But you don't decide which one you get, they do. It was 1st credit card freshman year of college, I was young and naive, and knew nothing about hard pulls, credit cards, etc. So when they asked for the social, I happily gave it to them without a second thought. I got the visa with a $2,200 limit---I see how college students can rack up debt FAST! Way too much credit for a newbie like me, so I used it very little, never charging more than $200 on it. Every now and then, I'll get a coupon that says "We miss you, here's 30% off any purchase with your card" and of course, that gives me a reason to expand the wardrobe haha

Lol @ the last part. I probably will just stick to the online malls then. It doesn't sound that fantastic.

Its a definite hard pull. Make sure to not miss any payment. I love and still shop at BR. However few years ago they F*** me over $.04. Yes 4 cents. Went on my file, took 1.5 year to get rid of. After I got it off, closed the account.

I'm going to say that you get 2 points per dollar spent at old navy, Bannarepublic or gap 1 point per dollar spent elsewhere.
I'm going to guess that it's the same even if you shop online at the 3 stores.

I actually get 5 points per dollar spent at ON, BR, or Gap, and then they send you $10 reward cards for every 1,000 points ($200) - so that's like 5% back....albeit just to spend more at those stores :)

To me, this is great if you shop at these stores often. I only use the card when I need to stock up on more clothes from these stores.

I have the Banana republic credit card visa, and I do not use it often. I might spend 100 bucks a year, but I see better cashback from shopdiscover or various cashback website. If I am not going to use this credit card often, should I just cancel it? I have several credit cards and I just want to focus on the few that I use the most. Any ideas?
