    Smile Plastic surgery rewards card

    Is there any credit cards out there that give you rewards for spending on plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures? I have a surgery coming up and being that each procedure is 10 to 20 thou I wish I could be earning some rewards on all that spending. I'm hoping there's a card that either gives higher cash back on cosmetic procedures or it gives you points you can trade in for Botox or something. Let me know, ciao!

    LOL I can just see some trophy wife paying for things with her credit card that had the words "Plastic Surgery Platinum" or something on it.

    Perhaps they should just modify the American Express In:LA card to include plastic surgery haha.

    Geez sorry for posting didn't think it sounded like that crazy of an idea at all they have credit cards for everything now. i looked on another forum and they were talking about a rewards program from Care One credit but I suppose that's not the same thing.

    Since you guys obviously hate that idea so much, is there a card that gives a higher promotional rebate on ALL PURCHASES for the first month or two maybe? That way I'd open the card to pay for the surgery so I could get the discounts.

    It appears as if I am not the first to think of this! I have an operation coming up in July. With no cash discount I might as well pay with plastic. There was a Chase AARP credit card promotion giving 5% would I be able to use that for this?

    From the Wall Street Journal March 19, 2011...

    "...Finland's Finnair offers a face lift for 4.6 million miles and hair transplantation and breast augmentation at the same price, 3.2 million "Plus" program miles. But after a year of the program with Nordstrom Hospital, sales of the cosmetic surgery have been, well, flat and will be phased out."

    In an article on more airlines offering merchandise and other non-travel rewards to reduce their outstanding mileage liability among customers. The article points out that customers are treated very differently by airlines depending on elite status and whether they carry the airline's branded credit card.
    CARDS (and why)
    FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (best cash back excepting 5% cards), Fidelity Visa (spare)
    Chase: Freedom (only for 5% reward categories, purchases under $10), Sapphire (not in use), Amazon Rewards (for Amazon purchases only)
    CapitalOne: No Hassle Rewards (no foreign transaction fee, my only MasterCard, not in use)
    Amex: Blue Cash Everyday (not in use)
    Discover: More (only for 5% reward categories)

    I remember hearing about that Finnair program when it was first launched. When programs are watered down like this and we would be better taking the cash back and paying ourselves, I don't know why card issuers are surprised when we don't fall for their bait.
