Question CitiBank TY Card vs. Chase Freedom

I've come to the conclusion that I really do not have any use for the TY rewards that I have accrued.

Now, I am thinking about applying for the Chase Freedom card so that I can take advantage of bonus catergories through out the year as well as take advantage of the cash back program too.

I have a question, if I were to do a B/T to Chase, will that automatically ear me points, or will I only get points with new purchases?

Who here would rather have the TY card over the Freedom card?
    Chase Freedom - $8,000 (2/2013)
    GM Card - $7,700 (7/2002)
    CitiBank (Thank You Preferred) - $6,400 (6/2012)
    CitiBank (Diamond Preferred) - $4,600 (6/2012)
    Rogers & Hollands - $3,250 (3/2006)
    BestBuy - $1,600 (9/2003)
    Discount Tires - $1,000 (2/2004)
    Kohl's - $300 (4/2012)

Well I just applied for the Chase Freedom, and here is the message that I received.... Should I call the recon number??

Does anyone have the recon number for Chase??

Thank you for applying. Your application requires further review before making a decision.

    Here's what you can expect:

•Our goal is to notify you in writing within 10 days; however, in some circumstances it may take up to 30 days.
•If you are approved, you will receive your card and other important information in the mail.
•Please do not resubmit this application.

Thought's as to why? I have 100% ontime payments, my CU is 12% and my credit score form crdit karma is 676 (trans union) and credit sesame is 756 (experian)

Just got off the phone with the recon dept. Very fast response, everyone spoke english well and had NO problems.

They just had ask me a couple of questions and verify my answers.

I got instant approved for $3,500 CL I was hoping for a larger amount b/c my GM Card is $7,700 and my TY card is $4,600.

I called and aske for CLI already LOL (another inquiry ) and I asked for a CL of $5000. My inquiry for the app went into pending status where a credit analysis will need to look at it.. Wish me luck!

All in all very happy, got worried about the initial response, then called the recon and got instant approved!

Go ahead and call them. It can't hurt anything.

The thank you card stinks, but you can redeem them for a gift card or something.
