Default Myspace Credit Card

This card is such a joke. Look at the terms on the Myspace Forward credit card and tell me how this card could possibly be worth the hassle for anyone.

And it's not like Myspace is exactly known as a reputable or reliable company so the whole idea of them attaching their name to a credit card I think makes absolutely zero sense. I mean I guess the only benefit is it gives 5% for spending on restaurants but that in itself is not reason enough to get the card. Especially being that the rewards sound so crappy that there is no reason why anyone would even want them. The card is issued by Citi and operates on the Visa network.

I would be embaressed to pay with the Myspace credit card. What is this 2005? Yea Myspace is out now.

Default Myspace credit card review ?

They probably had this in the works first quarter of last year. I can't imagine they would have came out with a credit card now unless it was something they already had in development. The rumor is that Myspace's revenue tanked in the 4th quarter last year. Apparently advertisers are jumping ship and going over to Facebook instead. I think Myspace is going to stick around but they severely cheapened their image by allowing the quality and reputability of their site go downhill. A Myspace credit card like you said is not a help in bolstering that image either. Next you will have the cardholders who feel Citi is screwing them and then they will start hating Myspace because of it.

I agree though. I haven't seen any Myspace credit card reviews yet online so if anyone does have this card and had a different opinion please let us know.

You never know what works. The Chase Amazon Visa was a big hit- who would have thought?

Yeah but you can't even compare amazon to myspace, it would be insulting.

+1 here

MySpace turning into a illegitimate community really shouldn't be compared to a well known, worldwide active legit b2c website .

Default Chase Amazon Visa and why it's a hit

The truth is that it can never be known for sure which cards will be a hit or not before they hit the market. They applied an ingenious marketing move for the Amazon Visa which I believe is responsible for growing the cardholder base to the size it is today. For a long time, Amazon would offer customers a $20 or $30 credit off their current order if they signed up for the Chase Amazon Visa. As expected, to receive the credit they would need to be approved for the card, but back then most cards on the market were instant approval credit cards, compared to today where the often verify income, credit histories, etc, manually before they will issue and/or approve some cardholders. I believe this instant gratification in the form of a credit on that day's same order is what convinced many to sign up for the card. In actuality, a mere $20 or $30 credit should never be the determining factor in choosing the best rewards credit card for your spending. You don't want to take $30 upfront only to lose $15 every month after that in lost rewards you would have earned with a different cashback credit card.
