How I choose which card to use at the point of purchase

Sometimes I forget which card to use for maximum rewards, but I came up with a solution:

It's low-tech but it works! Happy 2012!

I just use whatever I haven't used in a while. so after today until March 19th my capitol1 visa is on vacation.

Is that written on tape across the card? Or do you just order a new card if the rewards change?

The only one that changes is Chase and I'm hoping they do the same categories in 2013. The ink will eventually wear off anyway :-)

Yes, I try to keep it simple. Less room for errors.

I have an awful memory, but am surprisingly good at remembering which credit card to use when. Nice idea, though!

I've read that sun screen removes sharpie.
