Default Dilemma between two card choices

So I was recently approved for the delta gold Amex and the zync. Now I have spend the $500 necessary to get the 30k promo, and now my question is, which card should I use for most of my purchases? I intend on getting a gold in a few months when they run another good promo 50k-75k MR points which I will transfer to delta.

So I have two options. Use the delta and get 1 mile per dollar on most things and 2 mile per dollar on delta. Or I could use the zync for most things and use delta for delta things, then hope delta has a promo to get bonus miles with MR transfer as they did earlier this year whk I get my gold. What do you think?

Do you travel on business? If not, I would suggest the Zync card. reason is you would get better rewards, you would be able to choose a variety of gift cards from the membership rewards program. you would also be able to redeem miles on certain airlines.

To give you an example, I have the green card I don't travel on business so I don't have a Starwood Preferred guest card. My friend an accountant, he travels a little bit and he has that card.

If you get the Delta you can only redeem miles on Delta. So if you do travel quite a bit checking into hotels, entertaining clients at restaurants, taking customers out to ball games and Broadway shows then the Delta card would be a great card.

How many times when standing in line at stores like J Crew, Macys, Ann Taylor, The Body Shop etc. have you seen anybody using a Delta gold American Express card?

I only saw 1 person it was at Walmart.

what I'm trying to say is the zync would be a great choice if you don't travel. If you do travel the Delta gold would be a great choice.

I do a fair amount of traveling, and with a 50K promo on the Gold card, it would justify the AF.

But if I have the Gold card, then I can just transfer all my MR points, since the points from Zync will become regular MR points in the future, and I can transfer to any airline right, and maybe even get a bonus?

So then is sticking with the Zync and racking up some MR points the best idea? and just using my Delta card for Delta stuff? Cause I don't need the miles right away, I'm saving up.
