Default Credit cards for mortgage payments?

I've seen a few articles and posts but no one really has answered the question so I am going to give it a try.

I am interested in paying my mortgage with a credit card in order to get the reward points. I use cc reward points for things that my family wants and needs. I pay my mortgage on time and pay off my credit cards in full every month.

I am not interested in paying a fee for this. I am only interested in charging the mortgage to get the points. My mortgage, by itself, is not that high and my credit score (history, whatever) would not take a hit.

My credit is excellent and I am diligent about paying things on time, and paying off credit cards. In fact, I only have credit cards because of the reward points.

I've searched and can't find a solution. I haven't looked at my mortgage yet to see if they will let me do it. I don't think that the bank would let me use the credit card that I have with them because they are the ones that would issue the credit card reward points. They would probably claim that they are already giving me reward points when I pay the mortgage (but they are really low compared to the points I get with the credit card).

    Thanks for your help.

I see. So you want your bank to pay the credit card fees? Why do you think they would want to do that?

If you think the rewards are worth more than the fees you'd pay then there are plenty of places that will let you do this for a fee. But your mortgage holder/servicer has spent millions of dollars setting up a system to accept and process payments you make by check or bank transfer. Why would they want to change all of that so you can get rewards points? They wouldn't. So you will need to find a third party to accept your CC payment and send it to the mortgage company. They will want to be paid for that.
