    Default Chase Freedom 2012 Catagories

    Just got this in an email this afternoon:
    Q1
    Gas
    Amazon

    Q2
    Grocery
    Movie Theaters

    Q3
    Gas
    Restaurants

    Q4
    Hotel
    Airline
    Best Buy
    Kohl's

    Interesting choice to target certain stores and not just categories. Two Gas quarters is also a bit interesting.

    I may give this card a shot. Discover More often doesn't have categories that I need to use. I also find it interesting that they are doing certain stores.
    Cards
    Visa: BofA Cash rewards Visa Signature (1% on everything)
    Kroger 123 Rewards Visa, Ascend FCU Platinum Visa (1% back), Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards Visa (5% on Gas)
    BofA Cash Reward Platinum Plus (1% on everything, 2%on groceries, 3% on gas), Penfed Platinum Rewards Visa ( 5 points on gas, 3 points on groceries, 1 point on everything else)


    Discover: Discover More (5% back rotating categories), Discover Miles (2% on travel and restaurants, double miles on phone, internet, and tv

    Amex: Gold Card, BofA Accelerated Cash Rewards (1.5% on everything)

    Express Store card (points for gift certificates and special deals)

    I'm pretty ecstatic about the 5% cashback on gas for essentially half the year! Quarter three w/ 5% on gas + restaurants will be a great run for saving a little bit of cash for me.

    I'm curious if 3rd party purchases through amazon count. While obviously the money goes through amazon, it shows up on the cc statement differently.
