Default Am I eligible for this sign up bonus for Freedom?

I was planning on signing up for the $200 but when I came across this fine print, I wondered if I am even eligible. Reason being I used to have a Southwest Rapid Rewards card from Chase a couple years ago, but I canceled it.

*This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.
So since I used to have a card from Chase a couple years ago, this means I do not qualify, correct? Pretty disappointing if so. I tried contacting Chase to ask this question, but every form of communication I found requires having an open account.

    Thanks

Just an update, got a hold of someone from Chase and my previous Rapid Rewards card should not affect this Freedom offer.

Yes that's correct. Generally when they say that, it only applies if you have had the exact same card in the past. So a Rapid Rewards wouldn't count against the Chase Freedom and its $200 bonus.
