If you're anything like me you've got more customer loyalty award programs than you can keep track of. I've got rewards balances for credit cards, airlines, department stores, the drug store, liquor store, and so on.

Enter AwardWallet.com. AwardWallet tracks all of your reward balances in one place, and sends you a weekly update on any account that the balance has changed. Best of all it's free, though they do have an even better upgraded services if you donate a few dollars.

They currently track rewards from hundreds of different programs, including travel itineraries and frequent flyer miles programs with airlines. If you have a smart phone they have apps for iPhone and Droid, and if you use the iGoogle.com homepage there is a widget you can put on the homepage with an up to date balance summary for all of your programs.

If you haven't checked it out yet, give them a shot. Signing up and plugging in your programs is pretty easy and it makes managing all of those loyalty programs a lot easier.

(frequency: 90, 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration)

I can't comment on Award Wallet specifically, but I have had less than satisfactory experiences with two services that allow one to aggregate info. from various accounts/memberships.

One is Fidelity Investments Full View function on its website. While it worked well initially with 99% of the accounts I entered, it never would work properly with Fidelity's own branded credit cards. This was extremely frustrating, and Fidelity NEVER resolved the problem after a herculean effort on my part.

The other is Chase's Ultimate Rewards, which provides a facility for customers to consolidate frequent flyer/renter account info. The interface to enter account info. was extremely cumbersome when I tried to use it and lost all of my accounts. An absolute waste of time.

While this is a great idea -- consolidating rewards program info. -- my life isn't complicated enough to make it worth the hassle. There also is a potential security risk as you are sharing your account/membership info. with another party.

There is an option to include the accounts but NOT store the passwords on their server (instead storing them on your PC). You wouldn't receive email updates on those accounts, but they would update when you log in.
