Thread: Chase cash back rewards vs points?

Ive had a chase freedom forever and Im wondering if theres any difference between points and cash back.

Ive always accumulated enough points to get money and then cashed them in to get cash back.

Is there a different way to enable cash back instead of points? How does it work?

I applied for the freedom card with 200 dollar cash back bonus after spending 500. My application was approved but i am just curious: What's the Catch? 200 just to get approved and spend 500 or am I missing something in the fine print?
