Smile Platinum MR vs Gold Premier MR?

Could any one explain the main differences between the Platinum MR program vs the Gold Premier MR program?

the platinum membership rewards program is 450, the gold is 125 or 175 depending upon which gold card you are talking about. with the platinum you get airport acess to just about every lounge in the Us (come sept. 30th continental and united you will no longer access directly) but all other ones you will be able to access. with the gold card you can't get into any airport lounge.

with the platinum you get concierge service, help in making dinner reservations all over the world who ever takes reservations. help finding a gift, travel arrangements even with the train, sporting events for any baseball, football, basketball or hockey. with the gold card you don't get this service.

with the platinum you get room upgrades, not sure about either gold. both cards get your year end summary of all your charges, plus tickets to the public like concerts, sporting events comedy shows.

I think what 4Runner is asking is the difference in Membership Rewards points, not the other perks of the card.
The Gold card is part of Membership Rewards, and the Platinum is part of Membership Rewards First.
The additional benefits of Membership Rewards First are:
    60,000-point advance
    Top up
    Dedicated concierge line
Plus some additional high-class shopping events.
The official website has a comparison here.

My understanding is that the main difference is the ways you can use the points. Membership Rewards Express has no transferability, regular MR has transferability into some other programs, and MR First (Platinum and Centurion) has the most options for transferring or spending points.

I'm pretty sure all of the programs accrue points at the same rate of 1 point per dollar, but there are frequently generous redemption bonuses in MR First.

For anyone using MR or MR First, there is a current 40% bonus rebate on MR points transferred into Delta Skymiles.

If you transfer, say, 100,000 points you will get 40k MR points redeposited into your MR account. The offer is only running through the end of the month, probably an attempt to keep people from transferring their points into CO since the AMEX/CO relationship ends this month. If you fly Delta this is a fantastic offer.

TRANSFER MEMBERSHIP REWARDS® POINTS TO MILES AND GET UP TO 40% POINTS BACK.

Also this month and ending September, sign up for a different offer and transfer into Delta Skymiles and receive an immediate bonus of 50%, PLUS if you transfer 100,000 MR points they will give 25k MQM's.

MQM's are the Medallion program qualification miles, and with 25k of them you will have Silver status without ever leaving the ground. Silver status can get you upgrades into first class, free checked luggage, and some other Delta goodies.

I just transferred 100k MR points into Skymiles and received 150k miles, plus the 25k MQM's bumped me into Gold status for next year!

TRANSFER POINTS FOR A 50% MILEAGE BONUS AND MEDALLION STATUS.
