Default Should I apply for a Cato credit card?

Question for you all! I shop at Catos Fashions on a regular basis and if I had to guess, I must have spent $2000 there last year. I am constantly hounded to apply for their credit card but always polite turn down the offer. I know how store cards are and am not stupid. Though lately I have been second guessing my decision because if I can save a good amount of money I will do it. I'm the type of person that is always on the prowl for a deal The webpage for it does not tell much

My purpose of posting here is wishful thinking that one of you may have a Cato credit card and can tell me your experience with the coupons or savings you get from it. From the looks of it there are no points or anything earned on spending but if having the card would mean coupons in the mail regularly then with my spending it could add up to be a lot of savings.

    Thank you in advance everyone!

The Cato is that a charge card that you can only use in the store or is it a cato visa or mastercard credit card?

For example Walmart has a store charge card and a visa credit card, so does brooks brothers, Nordstroms, Macy's etc. While Neiman Marcus and Lord & Taylor, Kohl's only have the charge card.

What I would say is, since you have other credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover you don't need the store charge card unless you also work there, or you are trying to establish credit.

If it's a cato visa or mastercard then that's a different story and I would say apply.

If there are no rewards on spending than the Cato credit card better be giving very generous coupons for it to be worthwhile. The bullet points on the link you included do not mention coupons or sales. What have you heard about them?

If you have good credit then you may wish to consider a major credit card which gives higher rewards at clothing and department stores. These sponsored offers from CreditCardForum feature a few cards that give up to 5% cash back at clothing stores: The Top Cash Rebate Credit Cards

Im sure the original poster has great credit. he/she is asking because they spend 2,000 a year at this store compared to very little spending at other stores.

What if they work for cato, but cato doesn't have any rewards should he/she get the credit card?
