I forgot to think of this too. Excellent point mtaiwan! Perhaps that's the reason why they implemented this feature.

I have a joint amazon card and shop amazon for everything we use in my house. This card works wonders for me and i am almost at 50K points. I use to get the automatic 25 dollars off after accumulate 2500 points but that changed and I have been racking points since then. I will recommend this card simply because if you shop amazon (cheaper than most dept stores) you are getting cash back on stuff you were going to buy anyway.
they may be cheaper than a store but you have to pay shipping (any state that collects tax on magazines would have to pay sales tax to amazon)
for example with pricing at work a few weeks ago a vendor came to sell wallets jewelry etc. the wallets were 8 bucks, not designer. back in February, Macy's was selling the wallets originally 42 with the sale they came down to 24 bucks. when you look at pomona the floors are different, the return policy is different, in my area there's no Barnes and Nobles. in consideration, near Paramus park there's a barnes and nobles. just like with costco, their jeans cost less, paper towels, cakes etc but there's a 50 or 100 dollar membership. they supply no bags and they have no assorted gift cards like the gap and Barnes and nobles.
I don't pay for shipping, i have the free amazon prime from my student days![]()
Super Saver Shipping for qualifying purchases of $25 or more is available to ALL Amazon shoppers (so long as the items qualify) from what I remember.
