We shop at Eddie Bauer quite a bit and my wife almost applied for their credit card this past weekend. But then when we got home I read up on it and see all these negative reviews ripping on everything about it. The bad credit card reviews were not on this site but others I saw that showed up in Google. I can't comment on the customer service horror stories since I am not a cardholder but why does everyone say the rewards program blows?
That is what is on the application site and it didn't talk about the rewards program but I found this on another site.# Save Today: 15% off your purchase when you open your account
# Save Tomorrow: Receive an additional 15% savings when you receive your card
# Celebrate your birthday with $15 off one purchase made during the month of your birthday.
Earn 5% in Rewards for every $1 you spendBetween the promotions for new accounts and the ongoing rewards the Eddie Bauer credit card looks respectful to me or am I missing something?Achieve Gold level by spending $750 in a calender year. When you do, the following year you will be earning 6% in rewards.
