Default Google Reward Calendars for Chase Freedom and Discover More 5% Cash Back

I made a couple of publicly visible Google Calendars to keep track of the complex schedule of Chase Freedom and Discover More 5% cashback categories for 2011.

    Chase Freedom: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed...dar.google.com
    Discover More: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed...dar.google.com

I hope others may find these useful, and I'll try to keep them updated if anything changes or is added to the schedule. I use Google Calendar on my phone, which makes it easy to just glance at my phone and remind myself what the current cashback categories are.

No problem. Are there any other credit cards with rotating annual schedules that I'm missing?

Credit card rewards are a scam to convince Americans to spend more and get into debt. Until reading this I wasn't aware this scam had been taken further by confusing shoppers with reward schedules that change. Leave it up to the bankers to find clever ways to extract more money from us.

These calendars are helpful indeed. Another to add on the list is the Citi Dividend that has seasonal categories but I think those are 2%. I have the card but don't actively use it and can't say for sure how the rewards system works on it now.

If you feel that way then don't use them. No one is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to.

Hey I have the Dividend card from Citibank but stopped using it because the 5% cash back was discontinued. I was on the Citibank site tonight and it says this

5% unlimited cash back on average when you shop through the Citi Bonus Cash Center®

What is that for online spending of some kind?

I have a Citi Dividend and the 5% is through a program for online shopping and a few offline places. It's an average of 5% and the and there are around a dozen for offline when I last checked and were nearly all for travel. It is majorly lacking and needs help.

I love this although I would recommend adding the 5% amount caps.

Speaking of the Citi Dividend, I logged into my credit card account last night and noticed the categories:

Earn 5% cash back when you use your Citi Dividend Card on health care, drugstore, and fitness purchases from January 1, 2011 through March 31, 2011, when you accept this offer.*
I am going to have to bust it out for the fitness and healthcare. It might be motivation enough to get my dental cleaning I've been putting off.

Chase Freedom Calendar displays fine but the Discover more one gives the following error with no entries displayed:

    Discover More 5% rewards
Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them.
