I have the Chase Freedom card and I got a notice in the mail saying I'll get an extra 3% on travel - airfare, hotel, car rentals from August 15 through October 9th. Normally you can still get 3% on travel if it is one of the three categories you spend the most on that month. But I guess this is in addition to that because it says it won't count against your three 3% categories.
"You'll continue to earn triple points or 3% cash back at the top three everyday places where you spend the most each month." It says you can get up to 10,000 bonus points ($100) with this promo and it won't count against your annual earnings cap. Just wanted to let everyone that has the Chase Freedom know about this.
