*American Express & Costco TrueEarnings Business Card Review*
*Due to market conditions this business card is no longer available. We recommend you check out the American Express Blue Cash which offers 5% cashback instead.
-------------------------------------------
Are you a Costco Business member? If not, you may want to be simply so you can snag this credit card. If you already have a Costco Business membership, this card is a no-brainer...
• 5% cashback on gas – Not just Costco, but virtually any gas station.
• 3% cashback at restaurants – Who doesn’t want to save 3% every time they eat out?
• 2% cashback on travel – Save on airline tickets, car rentals, hotel, cruise lines, tour operators, etc. With ridiculous airfare prices right now, this is a perfect category to get higher cashback.
• 1% cashback everywhere else, including Costco.
• No limit on the amount of cash back you can earn.
• No annual fee as long as you have a Costco Membership.
• The TrueEarnings Card doubles up as both an American Express credit card and your Costco Membership card.
• You can pay your charges in full or carry a balance.
There’s no other card out there that gives this kind of cashback on all of these categories. But it’s not just the cashback that’s good, the benefits make it even better:
Baggage Insurance Plan: You get coverage of up to $1,250 for carry-on baggage and $500 for checked baggage.
Buyer's Assurance Plan: This benefit will mirror manufacturer’s warranties, for up to one additional year, for covered products you purchased with the card.
Purchase Protection Plan: You’re protected from accidental damage or theft for up to 90 days on eligible purchases made with the card.
Return Protection: American Express will accept your return when the store won’t. If you try to return an eligible purchase in the U.S. within 90 days and the merchant won’t take it back, American Express will refund the purchase price - up to $300 per item.
Oh yeah, and in addition to all those great categories for cashback, you’ll save even more… Simply use your True Earnings Business Card at participating companies, and savings of 3% to 25% will automatically be credited to your account. Companies from Delta, Jet Blue, FedEx, Marriott hotels, and tons more.
This is the business version of the TrueEarnings card, but you can still apply as an individual (sole proprietorship). Just enter your legal name as the business name, and leave the "Business Tax ID" field blank since it doesn't apply to you.
Have your Costco card handy when you apply, because you will need to enter your account number. If you don’t have a Costco, you can currently signup for one online when you apply for the card. The price online is the same as a regular Costco membership – only $50, and in this economy… having a Costco membership is a smart decision anyway.
