Business credit card: What limit can I expect, and what's the best card to get?

Postby sweeper » Wed Mar 19, 2014 4:07 am

So I need to also open a business credit card which is a new business and was wondering what the expected CL will be if my personal credit is above 800 and since the S Corp is new it won't have any credit history.

Also, are the two best business cards the Chase Bold and the Amex Gold?

Chase Bold and Amex Gold are good cards. It really depends what you are going to buy. Not sure about how much credit you will receive since it's new but would love to hear what you get.

I'm wondering if they won't at least initially base your company's credit history on your own? I have a couple Amex cards (BCP for a year now, Delta Gold for a couple months) and for the last few months every time I log onto my account there is a banner at the top telling me I am already approved for a business gold card. So at least Amex seems to consider your personal usage with them towards a possible business relationship.
AmEx - Platinum (NPSL) , Blue Cash Preferred ($19,000), Gold Delta Skymiles ($8,500)
Chase - Sapphire Preferred ($14,000), Disney ($11,500), Amazon.com ($9,000), Freedom ($8,000)
CapOne - QuickSilver ($7,250) / Platinum Rewards ($7,250)

All depends on your credit (not just score) is personal credit is what's being used to determine approval, creditor's critieria, major spend categories and other preferences. We can't tell you that you'll get $X limit for Y points. Why are you considering only business charge cards? Give us something to work with. The more info the better.
