Can I get the $100 reward by spending the $500 on paying off a previous credit card?

Postby CreditCardDube2 » Wed Jan 22, 2014 7:24 pm

I just discovered this website a few days ago & read about the Discover It cash back reward card of getting $150 cash back after spending $750 in the 1st three months.

http://creditcardforum.com/content/best-cash-back-credit-cards-4/

When I clicked on the link, but saw no mention of the $150 bonus. How do I know I will be getting the bonus?

I also wanted to know if I can just get the new Discover card & pay off $750 off my current credit card bill with the new card & that would qualify for me to get the $150 bonus?
Are there restrictions or exclusions preventing people from doing this?

And how do you get the cash back reward, will a check be mailed to you in a few weeks/months or do they just reduce $150 from card payment balance?

With this, I would essentially be switch my credit card debt from my old card to the new Discovery card, but with a extra $150 bonus. Is there any catch or drawback to doing this this?
