Best bonus for achieving $20k annual spend

Postby rockyrock » Sun Jan 19, 2014 6:30 pm

I've browsed through many of the top cards and haven't found anything stellar. It seems most cards offer bonus' for $30k-$50k in annual spending.

Now that I use my BCP for gas and groceries and CSP for all restaurant and travel related expenses my non-category spending is in the $20k range.

Does anyone know of a card that offers a spending bonus at that level? Unless I missed something on the national level I probably have to hope a regional bank offers something.

Thanks!

If you don't have it Citi AAdvantage World Elite MC offers 100,000 miles for American Airlines if you spend $10,000 in first 3 months.
you have to got the points guy website and find the link for the offer. That's the only place I've seen that high a Citi offer--most are much less.

I would use the sign up bonus route--all the cards have sign up bonuses that are worth $400-$500. A spending bonus at that level is tough--US Air Dividend Miles MC has bonus at $25,000--10,000 flying miles $89 annual fee does include a $99 companion ticket which if you use more than pays for annual fee. Best deals are with initial sign up bonuses. Best sign up bonus now is Citi AAdvantage World Elite MC with 100,000 mile if you spend $10,000 in 3 months. Card does cost $450 but 100,000 miles for round trip tickets nets you $500 plus. Offer only through the points guy website. Good luck.

The cards that I know of that have annual spend bonuses for spending $20k or less are the following (unless terms have changed):

Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier - 1,500 Tier Qualifying Points per $10k spend (up to 15,000 points)
Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve - 1 weekend night at $10k
Marriott Rewards Premier - 1 elite night per $3k (unlimited)
Fairmount Visa Signature - 1 night at $12k
Hyatt - 2 stays/5 nights towards elite status
Ritz-Carlton Rewards - Gold Status for $10k

Thanks, I actually got that card with the 75k mile offer and am currently working to change it to the 100k. I have already spent $9k in the first three weeks so I need it!!
