Nice bisbicos! That's an extra 1,400 a year in cash! Plus points. Id call that a nice return on spending.

How much did you spend to get that much....

Also I generally prefer airline-transferrable points like UR over cash back because you can get a tremendous value for them...
Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa Signature: 11/2013, $15,000 CL
Chase Freedom Visa: 11/2009, $4,700 CL
    U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Signature: 11/2013, $11,200 CL

I wouldn't just assume that airline point/miles > cash back (or vice versa).

2013 was a very good year for me

Postby cpaynter » Mon Dec 16, 2013 10:50 am

Well, the year isn't quite finished yet, but I can already certify that this has certainly been a very good year for me, rewards-wise.

In regular rewards:
United Explorer (me) 56,027 miles + $50 cash
United Explorer (DW) 56,027 miles + $50 cash
Barclay Arrival card 54,720 points ($547 cash value)
Citi AA M/C 53,015 miles
USBank Cash+ Visa $417.23
Sallie Mae Visa $177.84
Discover It $102.26
Chase Freedom (DW) 14,375 points ($143.75)
USBank Travel $142.66
BofA #1 $99.68
Chase Freedom (me) 6,951 points ($69.51)
Citi AA Visa 7,469 miles
Citi ThankYou 5,670 points
CostCo AmEx Business $46.43
Chase Ink UR 8,603 points ($86.03)
Discover More (me) $64.83
Discover More (DW) $150.06
CostCo AmEx Personal $1.80
BofA #2 $7.48
NFL Extra Points M/c 3,158 points ($31.58)
Chase Ink Cash $26.55
PenFed Travel AmEx $18.05

I earned an additional 334.66 with special $ off targeted offers, including AmEx Offers, Discover Extras, CapOne Deals and BankAmeriDeals.

I scored an additional $78.05 of small balance credits.

And I received $289.89 for letting GreatBridgeGroup collect my spending data.

Overall, I've earned $4,653.16 cash value on $51.283.33 of spending or an average cashback of 9.07%.

That's not as good as 2011, when we applied for two 75k miles AA cards, a 75k membership rewards point AmEx, and two Chase Sapphire offers. But still a great year.

I've redeemed $3,084.03 in rewards this year, $2,587.05 in cash (deposits, checks, statement credits, etc.), and the remaining $490 in gift cards.

Chris.

Man. I'll have to go through and add everything. I've opened two chase cards this year...that's 100k points or at least $1k. But, I redeemed for Southwest flights.

I'm at least 5k between CSP, Chase Ink Plus, US bank cash +, Citi Forward, Citi TYP, 2 Penfed rewards cards, Amex BCP, Amex PRG, Chase Freedom, and some BofA cards. I'm at work right now and don't have the time to add everything up.
Gas: Discover It, Penfed Platinum Rewards x2, Chase freedom, Citi TYP
Plane tickets: CSP
Groceries: AMEX BCP, Penfed Platinum Rewards,Citi TYP
Clothes: Express, Amex BCP, Discover IT
Amazon: Citi Forward, Cash +
Restaurants: Citi Forward, Chase Freedom, Discover IT, CSP
Hotels and other travel: Discover Escape, CSP
Movies: BofA travel rewards visa signature(fandango), Discover IT, Citi Forward, Freedom
Bars, clubs, tomfoolery: CSP, Citi Forward, Discover IT, Freedom
Balance transfers: Kroger 123 rewards
Bill Pay: Chase Ink Plus, Citi Forward
Everyday spending: Bofa Accelerated cash rewards amex, Discover Escape

I forgot to mention, this is on ~$10k in spending. So $845 / $10k = 8.45%

Cant match cpaynter though!
