Should I get the CSP in addition to my other Chase cards?

Postby craigm1 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 10:54 am

I have a Freedom card and was just approved for the Marriot rewards card. would there be any reason for me to consider getting a sapphire pref. card and see if I can have them split my 20k limit from my Marriot so half is on a Sapphire pref card would there be any real benefit to having all three cards???

Two reasons to get the CSP:

One, you can use the CSP to transfer UR points to airlines and hotels.
Two, you can use it to purchase a new keyboard that doesn't have the question mark key stuck.

However, why even worry about splitting the Marriott limit? You may get approved for the CSP without moving any credit around.

awesome! congrats i want to apply for it as well- i just want it because the card is metal just like the MRP..

If i do apply for it - it may be after i set up my account with them.. or till i spend those $1k that they require for the points!

That's for you to determine. The rewards, benefits, rates, etc are published on their site. If it meets your needs/wants then there would be a reason. This isn't a one-size-fits-all matter.
